Welcome to the Comprehensive Assessment Model (CAM) for the 2016-2017 school year. I, Miss Emma Firment, have created this document for the parents of our students to help them better understand what the CAM is, what it includes, and why it is important in your child's education. 

The CAM is a blueprint for observing the academic accomplishments of all students. Three intentions of the CAM are to...

1. Increase student learning by producing affective data on student progress

2. Evaluate the efficiency of the academic programs in the school

3. Creating a guarantee that all students are making progress toward their achievable learning goals. 

The CAM provides multiple resources of affective data to help teachers, parents, and students themselves understand student achievement and what can be done to increase it. The data that is gathered can be used to evaluate the school’s programs and practices. This will lead to making effective decisions toward the school curriculum, instruction, and the resources used to meet student needs.
